What is Hookah??? Hookah is a single or multi hose water pipe (with a glass base) used for smoking flavored tobacco (M3asel) . It was originally a Middle Eastern tradition and has become very popular in the west during the past decade. In short, to prepare a hookah: - Fill the glass base with cold water. - Place tobacco (M3asel) in a bowl (head) on top of the hookah. - Cover the tobacco and bowl with aluminum foil, punch few holes with Tooth-pick. - Place one or more charcoals on top of the bowl (head). - Using a hose, pull smoke through the hookah stem into the cold water. - The water cools down the warm smoke and you can enjoy a relaxing smoking experience. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Hookah enthusiasts say tobacco smoked from the water pipe contains a small proportion of the nicotine and none of the tar and chemicals found in American cigarettes. Some people even make their way into the dimly lighted lounges to stop smoking cigarettes. But health officials aren't ready to give the hookah their seal of approval as a healthful way to smoke. |
